Rupture. Freeze. Thaw. Repair.™
(For s/Self, In-Relationship, In Conflict)
Ways to include & CANsider all parts of ourselves, each other, and our missions and communities in times of conflict.
RFTR™3 is a practical, relational course designed to support individuals, relationships, and communities in navigating conflict while inside of it—without leaving ourselves, one another, or what matters most behind. This work invites us to stay present with discomfort, complexity, and growth, especially during times of rupture and change.
The Four Stages of Conflict
In this course, we explore four core stages that commonly arise in conflict:
Rupture — Understanding what just happened
Freeze — The systemic and nervous-system responses that interrupt healthy forward movement
Thaw — What helps people, relationships, and systems come back online
Repair or Conscious Moving On — What is needed to integrate, heal, or choose a new path

Participants are encouraged to bring real, current conflicts (with names and personal details removed) to work through these stages in grounded and supported ways.
Relational Lenses We Work With
We explore the dance between personal and relational ruptures through multiple lenses, including:
◼ s/Self
◼Peered relationships
◼Powered and leadership dynamics
◼Mission and community contexts

This multi-layered approach helps us locate responsibility and accountability in consistent, ethical ways—supporting stronger, more nuanced structures for our relationships, villages, missions, and projects.
Composting Conflict™
At the heart of RFTR™3 is the practice of Composting Conflict™. Rather than focusing only on in-the-moment resolution, we commit to tending the deeper learning and growth that emerge at the edges of discomfort. This is where transformation happens—where what once felt stuck can become fertile ground for new understanding.
Growth, Awareness, and Inner Work
For the s/Self to grow in relationship, we are asked to be present with internal expansion—and with the ruptures to familiar structures that inevitably accompany transformation. For any relationship to grow, we must also grow inwardly: examining our beliefs, biases, reactions, and patterns.
This work cannot be done through a simple “right or wrong” lens. Doing so only perpetuates cycles of dismissal and division. Instead, we practice coming into graceful acceptance of our evolving ISness—honoring where we’ve been, how we arrived here, and our ongoing capacity to shift and grow.
We can do this.
(If we’re willing to lean into the discomfort at the Edge of Change.)
And we can do it together—even when parts of the work are deeply internal and witnessed only by you.
What We’ll Explore Together
Participants will build skills and understanding around:
- Seeing yourself as part of the whole
- Understanding different kinds of reactions and how they arise
- “Stop, Drop & Roll” tools for working inside reactions
- Boundaries—how to feel them in yourself and respect them in others (yes, there’s a matrix)
- Dancing well with others: foundations, connection, expansion, and penetrative dynamics
- Alignment Awareness: Are we aligned? How? Is it supportive or corrosive?
- Seeking and assessing aligned connection through goals, methods, priorities, mission, and position

A small personal note from me, Raine:
This season is beautifully full, and I’m often holding many threads at once. If you don’t hear back within a few days, please don’t hesitate to reach out again—gentle follow-ups truly help keep your message present and on my radar. Even a simple emoji or a brief “checking in” note is incredibly helpful and very appreciated.
I will respond as I’m able.
Both of these things are true—and transparency matters.
With care,
Raine (RNEF)
